Drawing & Painting (beginners and improvers)
This course is aimed at anyone who is interested in developing their drawing and painting skills, from beginners to those wishing to improve existing skills.

During the course, we will consider the work of several artists in order to explore ideas such as observational drawing, colour, composition and tone. We will also look at how abstracting particular elements of a work can create particular feelings or meaning.

Students will be encouraged to design and create more personal paintings and drawings using their own ideas and images if they wish to do so.

Teaching and learning will be based on a variety of methods, and these will include tutor presentations, demonstrations and one-to-one personalised guidance.

Throughout the course, learners will practise and experiment with techniques in a supportive and friendly environment.
