Initial Assessment for Functional Skills English Courses
This is an Initial Assessment for a Functional Skills English course. You will have either a face to face or online meeting (via Zoom) with a specialist tutor, which will take approximately 30 minutes. If you choose an online Zoom meeting, you must complete an online assessment task in advance.
During the meeting, the tutor will chat to you about how you use English skills in your daily life and why you want to improve them, your needs and any anxieties you may have. They will also discuss your class options and confirm your next steps.
York Learning offers Functional Skills at all levels, from Entry Level courses to brush up on the basics, to Level 1 and 2 courses for employment or to access further education. Whichever course you follow, York Learning offers personalised support so that you can achieve your goals.
